 About Jenn Eisenberg: Jenn balances a very busy life, teaching dance at All Saints Episcopal Day School in Hoboken, in 4 different public schools around NYC for National Dance Institute, and leading and mentoring a group of amazing volunteers to teach creative dance in homeless shelters with House of the Roses. In the evenings, she is often rehearsing for various projects, including dancing with Spark Movement Collective on a regular basis. 

Jenn is the Lead Teaching Artist with House of the Roses, a volunteer-based dance company that offers free weekly on-site classes for over 100 children in homeless shelters around NYC.  Jenn actively taught in the shelters for several years and now oversees 20 volunteers who go into the shelters each week. This summer she co-wrote a curriculum for the organization which now empowers volunteers to go in and teach creative dance based classes. “The focus of our work,” says Jenn “is to give the children a voice through movement. We also focus on teamwork and celebrating successes, small and large.  Learning to notice success in ourselves and others..” House of the Roses has various performances throughout the year including the annual Roses are Dance which is held atColumbia’s Miller Theater. This year it will be on Monday, May 14th 2012.
