Hoboken St. Patty’s Day Bar Crawl Information

Here is a note from the organizers of Hoboken St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl edited slightly for better copy on this website. I publishing this here as information that visitors of Hoboken and participating residents could actually use but keep this is not necessarily an endorsment of the downside effects of binge drinking on the first Saurday of March every year with or without the parade.  Several years ago the parade was put on hold after the Mayor wanted it moved to a weekday since that  cancellation of the St. Patrick’s Day parade the number of incidents has gone down and the party has been more localised downtown.  TheBoken.com is all about celebration and certainly does not Hoboken to become a dry town but would just encourage revelers to have fun and be responsible and respectful to our city and have fun. If you or a frend get too drunk cut yourself off or them and get home or to the apartment you are visiting. Try to avoid an emergency room visit at all costs. Now on to the annual St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl message…..

“Keep the tradition going strong! That’s exactly what we’re here to do. The phenomenon that takes hold of Hoboken every single March is quickly approaching. Not only is the weather going to get a little warmer, it is the perfect way to get the party started for St Patrick’s Day – a real pre – St. Paddy’s day event! The first Saturday of March is a special day in Hoboken, NJ. Not only do all of the great bars and venues in Hoboken collaborate on a star-studded event, this year the “All Access Pass” is the one package you’ll need in order to spend the entire day in excitement. Join organizers this Saturday March 1 during their annual St. Paddy’s Celebration as Hoboken unites in solidarity to offer a great package for those who wish to celebrate in style and tradition. It’s been a long winter and at HobokenStPatricksDay.com, we are all definitely ready for the spring to come and the St. Patrick’s Day festivities to get under way.

All of the hottest bars in Hoboken will be flooded for this year’s annual Saint Paddy’s Celebration – so make sure you’re ready! With the “All Access Pass” package, you’ll be able to visit the best route of venues throughout the entire day. The times might surprise you – starting at 10AM? Yep! That’s what Hoboken and the first Saturday in March is famous for. Keep the tradition going strong and make sure to get up early and support the Hoboken community during the great holiday of St. Patrick’s Day. This is what it’s all about – fun in the streets, socializing with your closest friends and co-workers, and rejoicing in celebration. You’ve probably been to Hoboken before but you might not be prepared for the festivities that take place on the streets of Hoboken during this joyous occasion. Gather your friends and come out to enjoy a full day of partying and revel with the ultimate party experience in Hoboken, the All Access Pass!

Hoboken St. Pats Flyer 3-1-2014

Each guest only needs 1 All Access Pass in order to participate in the event. You will also receive a full map of Hoboken’s best venues to visit during the day. Over 30 venues are participating in this year’s Hoboken St Patrick’s Day Celebration.

Participating Venues Include: Mills Tavern, The Shannon, Biggies, Hoboken Bar & Grill, 10th & Willow, Bahama Mama, Texas Arizona, BOA, Cadillac Cantina, The Dubliner, Room 84, Scotland Yard, Wicked Wolf Tavern, Havana Cafem, Hotel Victor, Marty O’Briens, McSwiggans, Mulligan’s, Nag’s Head, Basile’s Pizza, The Brass Rail, Black Bear Bar, 1 Republik, Arthur’s Tavern, Louise & Jerry’s Tavern, Trinity Bar, The Farside, Stinky Sullivan’s, Mikie Squared Bar, Moran Pub, Stewed Cow, West Five Supperclub, Village Pourhouse, Willie McBrides, Finnegan’s, Turtle Club, McMahons Brownstone Ale House, Madison Bar, and City Bistro.”

Hoboken Pint Meisters Pub Crawl Saturday November 10th 12-5pm Starting at Texas Arizona

PintMeisters is throwing a last minute “Crawl for a Cause…Hurricane Relief” this Saturday 11/10/2012. The idea behind it is to get people who live in/around Hoboken out on Saturday to socialize, while also collecting goods/$ to donate to the hurricane relief. Since Hoboken had been out of power for over a week, organizers think people will be antsy to get out. It’s last minute, but they are trying any which way to spread word as much as possible. Facebook Event Link: https://www.facebook.com/events/117066111785421/

The Hoboken Pint Meisters Pub Crawl is Official!

It will be this Saturday 11/10 from 1pm-5pm. We are still in talks with bars, but looks like it will be starting at Texas Arizona. We are trying to secure $2 draft specials at all bar locations. We didn’t have time to make shirts/etc but we are asking for donations at the door.

Collection areas are looking for the following:

  • personal hygiene products
  • dry goods
  • baby needs
  • diapers
  • pet supplies
  • canned foods
  • chaffing dishes/sternos
  • LOTS of bleach.
We’ll leave the quantities/denominations up to you but we ask that you bring $20 worth of goods. Preferably, Pintmeisters asks that if you are not bringing items from home, please donate $20 instead of buying items. All donated funds will allow us to purchase what is still needed.

This is only 3 days away so we ask to please spread the word, share this page and invite all friends. If anyone has any connections, or knows a way for us to spread this to a larger crowd, please PM us asap. This is for a good cause and we’d like to make this as large as possible…

On Saturday May 5th from 11am to 7pm 55 Group will be hosted a fashioned based pub crawl for their three stores all located downtown in Hoboken only several blocks from each other. The Three stores are Platform at 100 Bloomfield Street, 1fifyfive at 55 First Street, and Air Studios located at 92 Hudson Street. Drinks will be available at all three locations and as the flyer implies at least Cornona and Patron’ will be available. Nothing like being a bit tipsy for the runway. All kidding aside this event sounds like fun for women in need of some wardrobe updates and a penchant for fashion.

Hoboken’s Guards Hurling Pub Crawl and Auction Saturday April 28 4pm – Starts at Nag’s Head

Here is a pub crawl to help support a cool sport that some may not know about… Hurling. Combine that with a pub crawl and the first joke that comes to your head is which type of hurling? Funny but this group is a nice addition to Hoboken’s cultural diversity and it is actually a great game that requires a high degree of skill.

Guards on Patrol: Hoboken’s Finest (Athletes) Crawling,

to be Auctioned Sat. April 28

Discover Ireland’s national sport – Hurling – enjoy live Irish music,  great drink specials, free food, make new friends and enter to win one of several Irish hurling jerseys at the 2nd Annual Guards on Patrol Pub Crawl & Hurler Auction.

Ladies and gents of all country origins who enjoy having a good time (craic, in Irish) are encouraged to attend this preseason kickoff fundraiser for the Hoboken Guards Hurling Club.

You’re saying you’ve never seen a hurling match? You’re the person this pub crawl was designed for, as hurling matches will be played on the sponsoring pub flat screens. Rumors are swirling around Hoboken that Mile Square City residents Eli Manning and newly arrived Tim Tebow will be in attendance. A spot may exist somewhere on the Guards roster.

Event Time: Saturday, April 28, 4–10 p.m. (unofficial ending time)
Guard Patrol Pub Crawl Destinations:

Cost to attend the event is a $10 bracelet and allows for discounted drink specials (to be announced shortly) and food at Mulligans. A five piece trad session band is included in the evening featuring a bodhran, accordian, banjo, pipes and guitar at three of the four pubs. Attendees can purchase the bracelet at sponsoring bars on the day.

“We’ll Start the Bidding at… $20”
The featured event of the day will take place in Shannon Lounge when ladies on the crawl will have the chance to bid on their “favorite” team player as part of a Hurler Auction.

On the auction block will be 13 single (meaning…unattached…we’ve had to explain this to people so just making sure we’re  on the same page) hurlers ranging in age from early 22 to 30 somethings…the same amount of men that we put on the field at once representing the black white and red in a New York Gaelic Athletic Association match.

Hurling is a physically demanding sport, so the lads should be moving from pub to pub in quick form. Each auctioned hurler comes with a gift certificate to a local restaurant such as Zylo Restaurant, Onieals of Hoboken and SoHo, The Madison Bar & Grill, Court Street, Carpe Diem, etc. Bidding will start at $20 per hurler. The winning bidder gets the gift certificate, whether or not she wants to use it on a date with the accompanying auctioned hurler is her call!

ATTENTION LADIES! Have a question you would like asked each auctioned hurler when he’s on the block? Post it on our facebook page, or email it with any other question to: hobokenhurling@gmail.com

The Guards are fresh off their first tournament competition of the year, the annual Rockland 7s Tournament in Orangeburg, N.Y. Hoboken were victorious in all five matches against  Philadelphia (Pa), Washington D.C., Rockland (NY), Allentown (Pa.), knocking off Washington (D.C.) to capture the trophy with a 5-0 record on the day!

The Guards, seeking both male and female new recruits, have begun training for the 2012 NYGAA Junior Hurling Championship season, which runs May through August in Manhattan College. Check hobokenhurling.com for the 2012 season schedule, which will be released shortly.

See you Saturday!
