HoBOOKen Halloween 5K and Scary Scurry Kids’ Run Announce Race Sponsors for 2nd Annual Race
Race to take place on October 29, 2011 to benefit The Hoboken Shelter
Launch Party Also Announced to be held September 26th
Two local businesses have agreed to sponsor the 2nd Annual HoBOOKen Halloween 5K and Scary Scurry Kids’ Run, which benefits the Hoboken Shelter. 35 Minute Boot Camps is the lead sponsor for the event, a race that attracted over 1100 runners in its’ 2010 inaugural year. Bin-it is sponsoring the Scary Scurry Kids’ Run. Other sponsors for the race include: Betterment, European Wax Center, Hartshorn Portraiture, Ivy Rehab, LEV10, Mimi Yoga for Everyone, Fleet Feet, The Fuzzy Lemons, ShopRite/Inserra Supermarkets and Dunkin’ Donuts at 7th & Washington Streets.
The Hoboken Shelter, The Melting Pot, The Elysianettes and race sponsors are teaming up to raise funds for women’s programs at the Shelter with a Launch Party at the Melting Pot, located at 100 Sinatra Drive. The gathering is slated for Monday, September 26th, 2011 from 7-10pm. Tickets will be available for a $10 donation at the door and will include appetizers, sponsor door prizes and a cash bar.
About the Race:
The HoBOOken Halloween 5K and Scary Scurry Kids’ Run is produced by the Hoboken Elysianettes Running Society. The fast, flat course runs along the Hoboken waterfront with a beautiful view of the NYC Skyline. Awards for overall male and female winners, age group winners and prizes for best costumes in a variety of categories will be presented. Post race refreshments and festivities will also be provided.
