The house in is in a great neighborhood with plenty of comforts. It was renovated 2 years ago and is a great place to spend the summer. The kitchen is huge and has a pull out sectional couch where house guests spend the mornings and pre-game swapping stories and bonding. It is also modernly equipped with, among other things, a great island and a wine frig. There are 3 flat TV’s (maybe more this yr?) with one about 46′ in the kitchen. The four bedrooms upstairs share 2 full baths and another full bath downstairs for all and the 2 bedrooms down there. No beach house is complete without an outside shower, and we have one on the deck-so a total of 4 showers for primping time.
The house is located 5 short blocks from the beach and 7 blocks from both the 2 popular bars; Parker House and Edgars. The house is just far enough from the beach to provide plenty of parking and no worry about the weekend worriers. It has a garage for bikes, scooters and beach chairs… And a full basement for storage as well as the washer and dryer. The front porch has new wicker furniture for storm watching or just enjoying the morning coffee. The back deck is partially shaded by a large pine and equipped with a BBQ and furniture.
The house is run very liberally designed for all to have a great summer; the renters mainly ask for respect to other housemates and especially the neighbors. The price will vary based on the ratio of full and half shares and should be roughly the same as last year; $3,400 for a full and$2,250 for a half. The price includes the refundable security deposit as well as all the utilities, every 2 week cleaning service and general supplies for house; paper towels, paper plates, toilet paper, soap, plastic cups, etc.
The current members range from 30 to low 40′s and are a good group of people. If you’ve never done a beach house, it is the greatest bonding experience one can have. Many of my closest friends have been formed from sharing beach houses over the last decade. Grab a friend.
