Last night TheBoken.com attended newly formed Prime Real Estate Group’s customer appreciation and fundraiser for the Hoboken Family Alliance at the Melting Pot March 15 from 7-10pm. The event was well attended with over 40 people and they raised hundreds of dollars (at least $700 unofficially) for the Hoboken Family Alliance. It was reported to us that the ladies were blown away with the donation and already had plans ranging from a Summer program for special needs children to a big fall event. Darren Giordano and Andrew Sanderson were the hosts of the event and besides their fundraising prowess they are pretty good at closing Real Estate deals too. Between them they have $8M in closed and pending sales to date in 2012, which includes 12 sale deals and over 25 rentals. They are off to a great start to the year. Here is what they had to say about the event….
Darren’s quote:
“It was great to give back to the community and celebrate with our clients at our Customer Appreciation Party last night. Our Clients are at the heart of what we do and it was a great to honor and see them. I’ve formed many friendships with past clients which makes this job so much fun. Meeting the ladies of the Hoboken Family Alliance was outstanding. It’s exciting they already have plans for many of their programs with the money we raised and donated!”
Andrew’s quote:
“Last night was all about giving back to our clients. We wanted to throw a fun party as a way of saying ‘thank you for your constant support, referrals and business’. It was a threefold event, in that we could accomplish this while simultaneously giving back to the great town of Hoboken, its local businesses and the Hoboken Family Alliance”.
For the raffle TheBoken.com bought five tickets to help with the fundraising with no expectation of winning. I won three prizes including Crew Hair products, Dinner for two at East LA and bubble bath for kids with a yellow elephant loofa. The last gift I gave away as I am not a bubble bath person even though I thought the yellow elephant loofa was quite cute. With a lucky streak like that several in attendance said I should immediately go to Atlantic City to see if my luck would continue. I took a pass but will play the Powerball instead.
The cake was a huge hit. It was from Cakes by Katie. Who needs the Cake Boss! (just kidding).

Over 20 businesses donated gift cards and gifts to the cause for The Hoboken Family Alliance.
Wine and beer were served. The Melting Pot has a very extensive wine list in Hoboken.
A few variety of Fondues were served. TheBoken.com is not a huge fondue fan but
the cheeses sampled and presented were very good.
Below are a couple of shots of the crowd in attendance sent in from Darren Giordano of Prime Real Estate…
