Ever wonder why the Germans hold their Oktoberfest predominantly in September rather than October? Me too but the explanation that makes the most sense is why wait the hell wait? Enjoy the beer while you can! Actually, TheBoken does know the answer and it has to do with German reunification. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octoberfest for the full explanation.
Well one thing we German beer lovers can be unified on is an Oktoberfest where you don’t have to hop on a plane to Germany to get a taste of the golden good life. You can enjoy a number of Oktoberfests in Hoboken starting with this one from Black Bear Bar and Grill.
Black Bear Bar and Grill will be hosting their 2nd Annual Oktoberfest on Thursday September 22nd starting at 7pm. There will be a $10 door charge and a German Buffet to coat the stomach for some great German beers such as Hacker-Pshorr to wash it down.
