Attention ice cream fans: April 3rd 2012 from 12pm-8pm is free cone day at Hoboken’s Ben and Jerry’s location at 405 Washington Street. You can get a scoop of your favorite flavor or try a new one. Save the date and bring the kids and get them to say ” I scream, you scream we all scream for ice cream!” On second thought no, but do bring the kids if you have them.It may be Greek to some people but not to Ben And Jerry’s. They will now be serving Frozen Greek Yogurt in four delicious new flavors: Raspberry Fudge Chunk, Blueberry Vanilla Graham, Peanut Butter Banana, and Strawberry Shortcake. Finally another frozen yogurt option without a new frozen yogurt shop opening up on Washington Street. Now for those on low carb. regimens this will definitely be a cheat but Greek yogurt is a healthier option somewhat before you put the fudge and other sugar on top of it. Certainly more appetizing than cauliflower pizza dough or the depraved posts of a troubled local webmaster.

Last night members of the Hoboken Social Sandbox in conjunction with Ben and Jerry’s at 405 Washington Street Hoboken held a breast cancer fundraiser from 6pm-9pm where a percentage of all ice cream sales went to the Pink Ladies of Hoboken, a charity devoted to breast cancer awareness. Hoboken Batman and Robin were on hand as well as Big Brother reality star Adam Poch whose self-professed “booming voice” acted as sort of a town crier to make more people aware of the event. Here are some photos of the fun event that likely raised several hundred dollars towards a good cause.
