Since today is New Year’s Eve, it is time to get the opinion of Hoboken Girl on her favorites in Hoboken for the year 2012. This maven has been busy with her own website but doesn’t mind sharing her take on the best of Hoboken for 2012. It has been quite a journey in the year of 2012. I’ve discovered a mish-mash of old and new places in Hoboken that I have a new-found love affair with (for the most part). Since the world’s not ending, it’s probably time for you to make some plans for what you’d like to do in Hoboken in 2013. You might have guessed this already, but I love making lists of my favorite things. From sushi to pedicures to mozzarella, it’s all here.   • Brunch: Elysian Cafe (I love the salmon eggs bene). Everything is good!
  • Good Ol’ Fashioned Breakfast: Diana’s. Learn more about my visit here.
  • Clothes (women’s): Townhouse 620, Iconic Fashion Lounge, Sweet Nicholas, & dear hannah. Note: I couldn’t choose!
  • Accessories: Aaraa Boutique.
  • Shoes: Platform Boutique.
  • Makeup and Skincare Supplies: Luxe Face & Body
  • Most Unique Store(s): Peper and Parlor, Revival Vintage Boutique.
  • Eyebrow Threading: The Eyebrow Place 2.

  • Hairstylist:  Ashley Branda.
  • Gel Nails: Gotham Nails.
  • Pedicure Foot Massage: The Nail Bar.
  • Foodie Supplies: Copper Kettles.
  • Yoga: Devotion Yoga.
  • Dance Vibe: West Five Supper Club.
  • Swankster Happy Hour: W Hotel Hoboken.
  • Regular Happy Hour: The Cuban.
  • Margaritas: East LA.
  • Going Out with Friends in Town (25+): The Madison.
  • Going Out with Friends in Town (25 & under): The Shannon.
  • Sports Bar: Black Bear. Do I care about watching sports? No. You may have a better option. Pray tell.
  • Sushi: Robongi, hands down.
  • Indian Food: Karma Kafe. Their lunch buffet is a great way to taste test different dishes.
  • Italian Food with the locals: Leo’s.
  • Pizza Slice: Benny Tudino’s.
  • Whole Pizza: Grimaldi’s.
  • Fresh Mozzarella/Italian Deli: Fiore’s. Their roast beef sandwich special is amazing (on Saturdays).
  • Gluten Free Eats: Bin 14.
  • Most Surprising BYOB: Anthony David’s.
  • Place to Buy Organic Produce: Sobsey’s Produce.
  • Delicious Apps: It WAS Clinton Social, so sad. Anyone have a favorite they want to replace? I’m still looking. Bin 14 is a close second.
  • Wine Bar: Bin 14.
  • Frozen Yogurt: Love & Yogurt.
  • Smoothies/Fresh Juice: Re Juice a Nation.
  • Outdoor Seating Area: Pier 13.
  • Lattes Galore: Ganache Cafe.
  • Muffins and Pastries: Choc o Pain.
  • Thai: Sri Thai.
  • All Around Bar/Restaurant You’ll Enjoy Any Time of Day: 10th and Willow. Plus they have great martinis.
  • Best Open Bar Birthday Deal (spoken from experience): Village Pourhouse ($20/person for 3 hours!) February 3rd is coming soon…hmmm…
  • Bar Food: Mikie Squared.
  • All American Dinner Fare: ONieals.
  • Good Place to Take a Date: Anthony Davids or Augustinos (make reservations!)
