Mayor Zimmer gave her daily 2pm press conference today on the status of Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. She said that a few thousand residents still do not have power and that the substation in the South West got it the worst. The Mayor is asking FEMA and the national guard to stay through until another fore-casted storm passes as additional assistance may be needed due to possible flooding. Dr. Mark Tobak also updated residents on the Hoboken School system and it is possible that they could be open by the end of the week but nothing is definitive as of yet.
