STATEMENT FROM MAYOR DAWN ZIMMER ON NEWTOWN TRAGEDY
“I am horrified and sickened by the tragedy in Newtown. My heart breaks for the families of all the victims. On behalf of the residents of Hoboken, we extend our deepest sympathy to the community of Newtown for their tremendous loss.
The City of Hoboken will continue to assist the Connecticut State Police in any way requested.”

Editor’s Comment: His older brother Ryan Lanzo who lives in Hoboken was questioned by Hoboken Police yesterday after initially and incorrectly being identified by national media and Hoboken 411 (go figure) as the possible shooter. TheBoken.com sends out condolences for Hoboken resident RyanLanzo who had one of the worse days imaginable in finding out that the entire country incorrectly thought he was a gunman, that his brother was instead, and that both his brother and mother were dead in addition to all of those innocent victims. On top of that he got handcuffed after returning from work while local media (not TheBoken) snapped pictures. It is my hope that Ryan finds a way to process these events and recover from it.
