It’s Snowing in Hoboken – Snow, Sleet and Rain Expected Today and Tomorrow

It has just starting to rain in Hoboken. This time the storm is expected to be a mix of snow, sleet and rain and with high winds. The good news is little accumulation is expected. The bad news is it is cold and damp and there are many people without heat due to all the flooding damaging boilers and HVAC units due Hurricane Sandy. Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service as of 12:05pm today:

This Afternoon: Rain and snow. High near 40. Windy, with a north wind around 26 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tonight: Rain and sleet before 5am, then sleet, possibly mixed with rain and snow. Low around 34. Windy, with a north wind 21 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 60 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday: Rain and snow likely before 2pm, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a north wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Thursday Night: Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 35. Northwest wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
