Humpty Dumpty Parent www.HumptyDumptyParent.com was founded by Vesta Schneider (depicted right with her husband Rob). She has been married ten years to her husband Rob and  has stayed at home to raise her family since 2007.  She states on her website:

“Raising children is the most challenging job of all it is also the most rewarding. When I became a mother, I also became a better, stronger and more tired person. We recently moved and I found it difficult to meet other parents; especially when it’s cold outside. That’s how this website was born. My hope for this site is that it brings our community closer. I hope from this site we can all share in the joys, and sometimes hardships, of raising our children. They say it takes a village to raise a child, I believe this to be true. With this site I hope to help that village grow and learn from each other.”

The website is  for both parents and families. Their goal is to help readers put the pieces together: get out (either with or without kids), buy and sell your stuff, discover new food to eat, get your questions answered and make some friends along the way.

They have organized a clothing and children’s items swap event for parents and all the proceeds will go to HOPES CAP towards children education in Hoboken on April 21st from 10am-2pm at 310 Garden Street . The drop-off is at 301 Garden Street April 20th from 4-8pm the day before.

Humpty Dumpty Parent Children’s Swap Sale

Note: All the proceeds and unsold items will be donated to HOPES CAP, Inc in Hoboken, NJ

Drop Off- April 20th 4pm-8pm

Swap/Sale – April 21st – doors open at 10am- 2pm

On the day of the Drop off  – You can bring any items that you would like to swap/sale to the facility listed between the hours of 4 PM and 8 PM. their team will be there to accept all these items and will tag them according to the pricing list that they follow (details below). They will give you a receipt with the total number of swap credits that you receive based on the items you got. You then come back the next day to shop with these credits.

On the Swap/Sale Day – You can now shop with the swap credit that you received. If there is any item that is more than your swap credit, then the difference can be paid in cash.

They  do not accept:

Car seats. Items that are broken or missing parts. Dirty/ripped clothing or toys.

Price List :

• Books, DVD, CD, small toys  - $1
• 0-24 month old clothing – $1 (per one piece of clothing or set)
• 2T & up – $2 (per one piece of clothing or set)
• Designer clothing (jackets, coats, sweaters) – $3
• Medium size toys $2

All other items will be priced once you bring them to the swap/sale.
