DANCE and exhibit at the hob’art co-operative gallery will run from June 23-July 15, 2012

On Saturday, June 23, from noon, an exhibition, DANCE, will open at the hob’art cooperative gallery, 720 Monroe Street, E208, Hoboken, NJ. Three members of the gallery will present artwork in the mediums of painting, drawing, mixed media and printmaking. The exhibition will be open to the public from June 23 to July 15, 2012, and a reception to meet the artists will be held on Saturday, June 30, from 5-9 p.m. A closing party will be held on Sunday, July 15, from 2-4 with an artists’ talk at 3:30. Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday, 12-5p.m. and by appointment.

Erin M. Burke works in many media. Mathematics and biology, as well as a sense of flow and balance, play a role in how she understands & interacts with the world around her. This is expressed in Miss Burke’s art, in realistic or abstract forms. Louise Gale is a mixed media artist, inspired by “the dance of nature”. Her work is colorful and detailed with a pattern-like quality to awaken and stimulate the senses. Janet Hollander is interested in bodies in motion. She has worked with dance companies, incorporating choreography into her art-making process. Her pictures are an extension of dancing.
