Hoboken Photo of the Day – Pier A Park Tornado (Fake)

Filed under: Hoboken,Photo Of The Day,pier A,Pier A Park — Tags: , , , , — TheBoken @ 2:30 PM

Note: This Hoboken tornado photo is not real but filtered

Is it just me or have we had more than our recent share of tornado watches and warnings in the last month from the National Weather Service? Now Hoboken is not known as a tornado hot spot like Kansas or Oklahoma but we recently had a water spout in Brooklyn just two weeks ago so anything is possible. Most likely any tornado that could touch down in Hoboken would be either a Category 0 or 1 but it could still inflict damage so these warnings and watches should be taken seriously.

It is my hope that if Hoboken ever had a tornado it would either be in the Hudson or out in the open like Pier A Park since it would not damage any homes. As editor of  Theboken.com I admit I am a bit of a weather nerd and get an adrenaline rush from severe weather so here is a filtered photo of what a tornado might look like at Pier Park in Hoboken should one ever touch down.  Note this photo is created using filters from iPhone app Filtermania2.

Doctored Photo Tip: See if you notice anything out of place in this photo and feel free to share in the comments section  below….
